Mariana Pajon became Red Bull´s athlete in February 2010. At her young age she has step on the BMX´s podiums around the world many times. She began and ended 2010 with great success winning the first places and six gold medals in different competitions. 

Born in Medellin, Colombia´s second largest city and coming from a family of sportsmen, her father a driver and her brother a promising kart driver, Mariana is well known as the "Queen of the BMX," the love for vertigo and adrenaline has gotten her to the podiums many times. 

Despite the roughness of BMX, Mariana is a sweet, feminine and delicate girl who is just now become an adolescent, but beyond her unsurpassable performance what she loves is the pleasure of ridding a bike to feel the excitement of life and preparing herself to win a place for the Olympics in 2012.

2011 will be full of challenges for this young athlete and her career, but she is strong enough to face them keeping in mind to be the best.
